There is only one package during the art season. It's vegetarian, but I don't know why it's not so delicious~_~It’s very light, the most salty is probably the middle of the three Khumbu is the top right tofu, overall a little disappointedThe in-store dining environment is good, non-art season can try other meals try
I stopped by for a quick bite and was delighted by the ambiance. The food tasted like a home-cooked meal and prices were reasonable. This place is worth a visit for both vegans and carnivores. Service wasn’t poor but could be better.
This is not a vegetarian place and the vegetarian options are not vegetarian (soup, piece of vegetables tasting of fish). The vegetarian irons are 3/4 small japanese tapas with weird tastes that are interesting, but it's not much. Nice staff
Really top lunch, great flavours
Great lunch restaurant. Set menu for 850Â¥. Wonderful setting.
Luckily, I got a taxi, and I went to this shop with a good reputation. It was a set lunch only, and it was a menu for vegetarians. All were satisfied with a very careful seasoning, but it was disappointing that the next schedule was delayed because it was so crowded that it took time to provide food.If you have a tight schedule, you should check in advance the availability of the store. It was raining on this day, so it was a taxi, but there was a bicycle parking lot nearby, so it is an easy-to-use shop for bicycles.
Nice vegetarian foods . Only 850 yen
One of the best lunches I had over the course of a one-month vacation in Japan. Filling, ryokan-quality food for cheap. The whole menu is vegetarian, which is extremely rare outside of big cities. Close to the Art Houses and definitely worth a try if you are on Naoshima!
Great veg set lunch. Generous portion, variety of flavours and little dishes. Even a meat-eater will be happy with the selection. Also had a noodle special on from the Art Setouchi Triennale. Well worth a visit, one of my favourite meals from this past trip.
Great lunch while enjoying Naoshima. Ordered the somen set, a great Japanese dish for warm summer days. Highly recommended!!
It is a calm space. The serving time of the food was also early. The taste was light and the taste of the ingredients was delicious.
There is a feeling that they oversold organic and threw away the taste.I think it is different to take advantage of the taste of the ingredients and to lack the ingenuity.Vegan food? I mean, vegetarian cuisine?Traveling might be a bit of an atmosphere, but if you're in the neighborhood, you won't go.Naoshima may or may not go once in his life, so there is no choice to stop by.Lunch 1000 yenAmazake ¥ 400Amazake has room for improvement. The best thing was that I had to drink amazake during my meal because I couldn't afford enough time, but after eating, I forgot.I'm sorry.
Surprisingly filling vegan and vegetarian food sourced entirely from Japanese farms. Nice dining room and a great value — the lunch set was only 1000 yen.
Traditional Japanese house. Employees are friendly. If you want something healthy, please take a try.
It is a relaxing atmosphere in a shop renovated from an old private house. The brown rice is mochi-mochi and it's about sticky rice ♪Sushiko was very delicious ã¨
I’m pescatarian so eating in Japan means I’ve been eating a LOT of fish. It was nice to have a filling vegetarian lunch without fish. Many flavors. Great price.
Very cozy and traditional looking eatery with serious food.
Fantastic, filling and healthy vegetarian meal. For ¥1000, this was the cheapest set meal of this kind we've had in Japan so far, and I thought it was good value. Loads of interesting small dishes, giant bowl of their local specialty rice, miso soup and sweet tofu for dessert. I was starving and upgraded to large rice for an extra ¥100, and left feeling very pleased and full! Went at about 1pm during the Setouchi Triennial and waited around 20 minutes for a table.
This restaurant only offers a vegetarian lunch set that includes rice, side dishes, tofu and miso soup, as well as desserts (that is, there are three mung beans, a large white bean and a purple soy with an old tofu-like artichoke dish). Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available. There are not many seats, about 20. Although it is a traditional Japanese building, in addition to the traditional seat cushion squat seat, there is an ordinary dining chair seat. The clerk knows English a little, even if I don't understand Japanese ordering, it is not a problem. The entrance of the restaurant is located in the alley, but it is not too difficult to find (the 18th location in the center, the doorway is on the 31st direction of the exit road).
Very surprising dining experience, the ingredients are from Naoshima or Japan, organic rice with a variety of cold dishes, very satisfied! Also ordered a hot cup of black rice wine! When you have a meal, you have to eat for a long time, and those who want to catch up with it need to think about it.
It is a very welcome shop for people who always care about their hearty lunches and stuffs that are good for the body.
A good restaurant to visit in Naoshima ~ Very good!A healthy dessert sweet dessertThere is no ice cream to go in the winter, and the homemade sweet pea soup and the daikoku rice cake are so delicious.(Because it is a perfectly healthy taste, those who are expecting MSG are fussy)It is close to town hall (town hall), but it is difficult to find it at first.
Very nice vegetarian lunch sets, a Zen atmosphere.
Delicious Sweet Rice cake in red bean soupBeautiful setting.
Brown rice is sticky! The side dishes were gentle and seasoned with brown rice. An old house renovated and warm. It was a relaxing space. The entrance curtain is cute.
Feeling healthy by just eating this lunch menu. Definitely good place to take rest.
Nice cosy authentic Japanese restaurant with nice vegetarian food.
Vegetarian set lunch menu made with locally sourced food in a beautiful, subdued setting. Also, try the olive soda!
Nice cafe, very relaxed atmosphere.
Very nice place, staff very nice and English speaking (which is not very common). There is not a wide assortment of food to choice in the menu but I really recommend for vegetarian people. The price is on the average in Japan but here is quite ok, not very expensive. In the picture is shown one of the possible option and I took large size of rice.
Delicious vegetarian food and yummy green tea cake with coffee!!! Get there early before lunch is sold out.
Great place for a quick (vego) lunch while visiting the art house project in Naoshima.
Great Japanese luch with local and organic vegetables and rice. And with a reasonably good price. Totally recommend it.
Delicious vegetarian set lunch, excellent atmosphere!
Nice food.
Nice place for vegetarians. The food taste could be better!
Very cute atmosphere, delicious lunch and desserts. Missed it on my first trip to Naeshima so came back for it and it was worth the trip.
An old-fashioned restaurant in a small alley. It has a gentle taste. There were many foreign customers only in Naoshima.
Good location with basic accomodation in ryokan style.
Good vegan lifestyle lunch for a decent price.
Delicious, thoughtful, vegetarian food served with love in a cosy atmosphere. The rice balls and green tea cake are both excellent. Some of the seating is on tatami mats, and there is an outlook to a pretty courtyard. You can also buy postcards by a wonderful young artist, Mimi. Highly recommend visiting this unique spot for lunch! 5/5!
Not too bad for the food and the rustic ambience. Assortment of beans, cereals, nuts, and vegetables give distinct textures and flavours. Friendly services. The background music is kinda funky and definitely not for carnivores.
very delicious food!
Delicious food and great value lunch sets. An excellent chance for vegans/vegetarians to try authentic japanese dishes.
Delicious!!! We had a very nice lunch that included one of the best miso soups I had so far, tofu with mushrooms, rice with red beans and a variation of vegetables.
Japan traditional style house, nice food
Flat vegan vrmnt delicious and cheap. super fast and very nice personal service. Framework in its juice.
Loved this place a lot!! Once of the best meals I’ve had in Japan and definitely on Naoshima. The service is friendly and the restaurant is cosy. I got the lunch set which is only 1000 yen and a green tea cake which was 400. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into the meal. The rice in particular is amazing. A super healthy, filling and delicious meal. Can’t fault it.
They can make their lunch set gluten free if you email ahead. A rare GF option on Naoshima.
The atmosphere in the shop was good, and I had lunch that the body including vegetables enjoyed.I usually eat hard brown rice, but because it was mochi mochi brown rice here, it was delicious and had a good belly. Both dessert and sweet sake ice cream and green tea cake were given, but I am very satisfied with the moderate sweetness.I would also like to go when traveling.Il posticino è ben curato, a parte il giardino, stile casa giapponese. Il personale ve gentile, veloce ed efficace. solo i dolci e I succhi sono molto buoni.
